HiHello is a digital business card platform available on both web and mobile. It helps users design, share, and organize virtual business cards, offering contact-saving through QR codes.

Digital cards created on HiHello can be shared via QR or link. But, according to some users, you’ll see ads even in paid plans. Also, advanced templates and analytics are behind paywalls.

When scanning someone else’s QR code, some users are also prompted to type in their name and phone number (there’s a skip button at the bottom), before they can even view the contact or save it.

However, some users find the sharing flow slightly challenging since people often have to input their details before saving contacts. Others have also noted that saved contacts disappeared later and redirected others to a third-party website.

mobiQode is straightforward to use and removes any extra steps before saving a contact. All you have to do is add your details for the digital business card and a QR code is automatically generated. Scanning the code instantly opens the profile without downloads or logins.

HiHello only supports one dynamic business card QR code in the trial plan and does not clearly state how many you can create in the paid plans. However, mobiQode offers 2 QR codes in its free trial that can be edited without needing to change the printed code. Both platforms offer unlimited static QR codes. 

Customization and design flexibility

HiHello offers basic but clean, minimal designs suitable for professionals, segregating each card into personal and professional. However, there is not a lot of customization scope, as all you can do is adjust colors and add a logo after adding personal information. The QR code also comes with HiHello’s branding in the trial plan.

Most customization options hide behind a paywall, unlike in mobiQode. One user also said their logo got hidden behind the profile image, and resizing wasn’t possible. Others wished for more design templates.

While HiHello provides different exchange options and a custom consent agreement, it doesn’t let you edit or customize the data fields you collect. Some users claimed HiHello can glitch or load slowly at times. This can affect sharing and conversion, something not usually seen with mobiQode.

In contrast, mobiQode’s lead generation tool gives you full control. You can select and edit fields like name, phone, job title, email, company, or message, and decide your preferred mode—collect first or share first. It even includes a Follow-Up Email feature that automatically sends emails from your address (which we couldn’t locate on HiHello), plus password protection to secure your form access.

When we scanned the digital business card’s QR code with HiHello, it did show the scan analytics once but later asked us to upgrade to view even basic scan analytics. 

Whereas, even on the free and standard tiers, mobiQode gives users detailed reports that show them where scans are happening, what devices are being used, and how many times people come back.

Bulk and printing options

The two platforms handle bulk creation differently. HiHello offers bulk card options only in its enterprise plan. It doesn’t have any clear or affordable choices for smaller teams. mobiQode, however, lets you create multiple cards even in the free trial.

Pricing and value

HiHello’s paid plans start at about $8 per month, but doesn’t mention how many business card QR codes you can make and only offers 20 scans/month. Some users feel the price was too high for the few customization options that were available, even though it works smoothly.
