Introducing Team Management & SSO on mobiQode

There’s a familiar moment every growing team hits. You started mobiQode with one login. Then a teammate needed access. Then another. Before long, three or four people are sharing one password, nobody remembers who last edited a QR code, and your IT team is quietly wondering why an external tool isn’t on single sign-on yet.

That’s the gap we’ve closed. mobiQode now supports proper multi-user team management — with roles, permissions, and activity tracking — plus Single Sign-On (SSO), so your team can log in the same way they already log into everything else at work.

Here’s what’s new, and how to start using it.

Bring Your Whole Team Into mobiQode

Instead of one shared account, every person on your team now gets their own login — with exactly the level of access they need, no more and no less. It all lives under Organization → Team Users.

Four roles, built for how teams actually work

RoleWhat they can do
OwnerFull control of the organization, including billing and user management
AdminManages the workspace and its users, without owner-level controls
EditorCreates and manages QR codes, custom pages, and digital business cards
ViewerRead-only access — perfect for stakeholders who just need visibility

For Editors specifically, you can go one level deeper with Edit Scope — deciding whether that person can edit Only their own QR codes, pages, and cards, or Everything in this workspace.

This one setting solves a real problem: bringing on a freelancer, a regional marketing lead, or a new hire without worrying they’ll accidentally touch someone else’s live campaign.

Inviting someone takes under a minute

1 Go to Organization → Team Users and click Invite User.

2 Enter their email address and choose a role — Admin, Editor, or Viewer.

3 If they’re an Editor, set their Edit Scope, then click Send Invitation.

That’s it. They show up under Active the moment they accept, and you can see seat usage at a glance — right down to how many of your plan’s seats are currently in use.

Every workspace now includes a User Activity Summary — a live breakdown of QR codes, scans, downloads, and custom pages, both combined across the organization and broken out per team member.

You can filter between Active, Pending, and Deleted users, and export the data whenever you need it for reporting. No more digging through spreadsheets to answer “who’s actually using this?”

Sign In the Way Your Organization Already Does — With SSO

Alongside team management, we’ve launched Single Sign-On for organizations. Once it’s configured, your team logs into mobiQode with the same corporate identity they already use for everything else — no separate password, no separate account to secure or forget.

mobiQode’s SSO runs on SAML 2.0, with mobiQode acting as the Service Provider and your identity provider handling authentication. At launch, we support:

Identity ProviderStatus
Google WorkspaceAvailable now
Microsoft Entra IDAvailable now
OktaAvailable now
Where this fits in your plan: Multi-User Support and Single Sign-On are available on the Agency plan ($50/mo), which supports up to 20 team members. If you’re on a lower tier and want to bring your team on board with SSO, you’ll need to upgrade to Agency first.

Setup is a short, five-part flow from an admin’s side: configure your organization’s SSO page in mobiQode, copy the SP endpoints (ACS URL and Entity ID) into your identity provider, set the SAML Name ID to return the user’s email, import your IdP’s metadata back into mobiQode, then enable and save. Once it’s live, anyone invited to your organization can sign in with the SSO option on the login screen.

💡 Setting up SSO for your organization? We’ve published a detailed, step-by-step configuration guide covering Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID, and Okta — including SP endpoints, field mappings, and troubleshooting common SAML errors. Read the SSO setup guide →
⚠️ One requirement to know upfront: the email address must match exactly between your identity provider and the mobiQode organization user. mobiQode reads the SAML NameID as an email address — if it doesn’t match, the invited user and the authenticating account are treated as different people, and login will fail.

Why This Matters

Faster onboarding. Invite a colleague and they’re working within minutes, not waiting on a shared password.

Safer collaboration. Role- and scope-based access means people only touch what they’re supposed to.

Enterprise-ready security. SSO puts mobiQode access under your organization’s existing identity policies — including whatever offboarding process you already have when someone leaves.

Full visibility. See exactly how your team is using mobiQode, at both the organization and individual level.

Questions We Expect You’ll Ask

“Do I need to turn on SSO to invite team members?”
No — on the Agency plan, Team Users and SSO are separate settings. You can invite your team with regular email/password logins right away and turn on SSO whenever your organization is ready.
“What happens to a user’s data if I change their role or edit scope?”
Nothing they’ve already created is affected. Changing a role or edit scope only changes what they can do going forward.
“Can I remove a user’s access instantly?”
Yes — deleting a user from Team Users revokes their access immediately. Deleted users are tracked separately so you can see historical activity.
“Is SSO required to be enabled for the whole organization, or can I test it first?”
You can and should test with a single user before rolling it out — both Google Workspace and Microsoft Entra let you scope initial access to a test account or group.
“How many seats do I get, and what happens if I hit the limit?”
Multi-User Support and SSO are available on the Agency plan, which includes up to 20 team members. You can see live usage (for example, 4 of 20 seats used) right on the Team Users page, and you won’t be able to send new invites once you hit your seat cap.
