Linq and mobiQode let you ditch paper cards, share your details via QR codes or links, and update your information instantly. But the real difference appears once you actually start using them.

Let’s figure out which one is best for you.

What is mobiQode?

mobiQode is a QR code anddigital business cards platform that helps in paperless networking. You can create a personal or company-branded digital card, get a custom landing page linked to a dynamic QR code, and share your details instantly.

Within mobiQode, you’ll also find features like multi-URL landing pages, scan analytics, bulk QR code generation and campaign-style use cases.

Here’s how it works: You build a card, get a QR code, and a prospect scans it, and the contact is shared/exchanged. You can update your information any time without re-printing or distributing new cards.

What is Linq?

Linq is another digital business card service that uses QR and NFC technology to quickly share your contact information.

You can add links, videos, pictures, and contact information to your profile. Then, you can share it by tapping your NFC card, a link, or a QR code. But we saw that there weren’t many options for customizing colors and layouts. Users have also mentioned a few other limitations:

  • Some features require using the Linq app or completing extra steps
  • Contact sharing can sometimes feel one-way or less intuitive
  • The app crashes at times and the contact page doesn’t load at all

Ease of use

Linq’s interface is neat, but several features are locked behind a paywall, making it hard for new users to explore. It also requires downloading the app before you can see products, which is an extra step that slows down onboarding compared to mobiQode.

As mentioned earlier, some of its web features failed to function properly when we tested, further affecting the overall user experience.

While it’s easy to share contacts through links, email, or QR codes, you have to give the other person your name or email address to do so, which makes it harder. Many users also found the process clunky: shared links sometimes fail to open, NFC doesn’t work on Android at times, and the card scanning feature often gives blurry or incomplete contact info. Others wished for LinkedIn or NFC integration to avoid filling forms mid-event.

mobiQode, on the other hand, is much easier to understand. It lets people make and share digital business cards right from the web or mobile app, with no need to download anything or do anything else. The process is quick: generate your card, get a dynamic QR code, and share instantly via link, email, or social media. It’s smooth, responsive, and doesn’t depend on the other person having the same app, making it far easier for networking on the go.

Key features compared

Dynamic vs static QR codes

You can change your card at any time with Linq and mobiQode because they both use dynamic QR codes. However we couldn’t really find a way to make more than one card or switch between profiles while using Linq. it doesn’t even clearly state how many cards you can create with the paid subscription.  On the other hand, mobiQode lets you make up to 2 dynamic cards with one free account and up to 500 at $15 (significantly lower than Linq’s subscription of $29). Both platforms provide unlimited static codes for free.

Customization options

Linq offers basic customization like add photos, a short bio, Calendly, and social links on the, but it doesn’t give you a lot of design options. In fact, there was no option to customize the QR code at all and a direct download button was provided for us to download the QR code for sharing the contact.

mobiQode, on the other hand, gives you full freedom: choose templates, adjust brand colors, and design layouts that reflect your company’s identity. You can also customize the QR code end-to-end by choosing the code’s pattern, eye design, templates, colors, and more.

Lead capture and follow-up emails

Linq’s lead capture form allows you to collect details like name, email, phone number, address, and company, similar to mobiQode. However, it doesn’t let you choose the interaction flow, meaning you can’t decide whether to collect info first or share your details first. We also couldn’t find a toggle to enable follow-up emails on Linq, a feature that’s easily available on mobiQode.

mobiQode, on the other hand, offers full control. You can customize and edit fields like name, phone, job title, email, company, and message, decide your collection mode, enable automated follow-up emails, and even add password protection for secure access.

Analytics and reporting

Linq provides basic analytical metrics like views and clicks.

mobiQode goes much deeper, showing scan types, user devices (Android/iOS), geographic data, and engagement rates.

Bulk and printing options

Linq doesn’t clearly say that it has any features for bulk printing or team distribution, which makes it less useful for big companies. In fact, Linq’s pricing page doesn’t even open and shows a 404 error which makes it tougher to know if bulk printing options are even available or not.

mobiQode has special options for creating and printing large numbers of items right from its dashboard in CSV format. This is great for teams, events, or corporate rollouts.

Pricing and value for money

Linq has a 14-day free trial but requires you to enter credit card details first, with paid plans starting around $29/month.

linq pricing plans

mobiQode gives a no-card free trial and affordable paid plans from $3/month, offering more features like advanced analytics, 50,000 scans and more, at a much lower price point.

Customer support

Linq offers support via live chat and email; you can directly write to them on their website’s support page. However, some Linq users mentioned difficulty reaching support or facing unhelpful responses.

mobiQode offers support via live chat and email as well, but it is round the clock.

What customers are saying

“Linq made it easy to share my details quickly with prospects at conventions. But it doesn’t help with deeper client relationships, so it doesn’t feel like a good tool for meaningful follow-ups.” – G2 Reviewer

“I love how easy it is to set up and use mobiQode. It makes it easy for clients and teams to share information. The scan tracking, clear dashboard, and helpful customer support make it a reliable tool for everyday use.” – G2 Reviewer

Final verdict: Which one should you choose?

If you’re someone who just wants a single, NFC-enabled digital card and doesn’t mind a few extra steps, Linq does the job. But if you’re a business owner, marketer, or professional who values speed, flexibility, analytics, and affordability, mobiQode easily comes out ahead.

It’s easier to set up, offers 100% ad-free dynamic QR codes, and gives you in-depth analytics and bulk card options without hidden paywalls. Plus, its two-way contact sharing means you don’t just share your details, you capture leads too.
